Human beings do not live by bread alone, but they do not live long without it.  To eat is to acknowledge our dependence both on food and on each other.  It also reminds us of other kinds of emptiness that not even the blue plate special can touch. — Frederick Buechner

David Stewart.  You can reach the Marchand’s at 839-9877 or the teacher David Stewart at 712-9826.  Home Fellowship groups include fellowship, prayer for one another, and study in the scriptures.

Romania Mission Trip

Our Northern New England Presbytery has partnered with  missionary and pastor Hong Key Chung in Bucharest Romania to reach out in that needy land to spread the gospel.  Our Presbytery has sponsored three mission trips to that country.   In 2009 a team of five went to Arad and worked with a wonderful ministry call RCE.  Romanian Christian Enterprises (RCE) cares for, teaches and places special needs children in adoptive Romanian families.  They are a bright light for the Lord Jesus spreading the good news of the gospel and doing mercy ministry in Jesus name.  We will keep you informed of the next mission trip as plans are made.

Word and Deed Ministry

Women at CTR get together each month to encourage one another in the faith through fellowship, devotion and prayer for each other and for their church.  They work on projects to help others.  So far they have done knitting and crocheting and have made such items as hooded scarves for the homeless, lap robes for hospitals, and various items for The Root Cellar ministry.  They are now working on a quilt for a local organization.  There are future plans to start making sleeping bags for the homeless.  If you have an interest in this group, or if you would like to learn more contact Jeanne Mansfield at 647-8487.
